Your role

As a funding consultant, your primary objective will be to provide crucial support in delivering exceptional services to our industry clients, navigating the complex landscape of national, regional, and European grants, and identifying financial opportunities for their projects. Your expertise and advice will be fundamental to help our clients achieve their innovation goals. More specifically, you will be entrusted with:

  • Guiding companies in identifying and applying for suitable funding programmes and financial opportunities.
  • Collaborating closely with clients to understand their unique business needs and objectives;
  • Preparing and submitting high-quality funding applications, both at national and European level;
  • If applicable, conducting comprehensive finance or innovation assessment studies, including GHG calculations, business case analysis, CBA, stakeholder analysis, and more;
  • Staying abreast of developments in national, regional, and European funding programs to provide the most up-to-date advice;
  • Representing the company at various national and European events;
  • As applicable, acquiring new clients and expanding your network in Brussels;
  • Providing guidance on compliance and reporting requirements

  • Proven track record in at least two of the following services: writing funding/bid proposals, project management, business case development, environmental or impact assessments (e.g., CBA, LCA, MFA), technology road mapping, business development;
  • A solid understanding of the Belgian funding landscape;
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent in technical studies, e.g. economics/innovation sciences, or in one of our business areas. In lieu of experience, a post-graduate university degree in the aforementioned areas;
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Dutch languages. French is a bonus.
